The way of meditation is the way of the heart. This silent retreat, open to both new and experienced meditators, will focus on the path of the heart, and how awareness gives access to the joys and sorrows of life with ever increasing sensitivity, stability and love.
The teachers will be assisted by Tim Geil. Ellen McCown will offer an optional daily period of qigong.
Rodney Smith, an IMS guiding teacher, has taught insight meditation since 1984. He is a former Buddhist monk and worked in hospice care for 17 years. The author of Stepping Out of Self-Deception and Awakening: A Paradigm Shift of the Heart, he founded and guides Seattle Insight Meditation Society.
