After almost 40 years of teaching at the Retreat Center, Christina will be retiring from her US commitments with this course – this will be her final IMS retreat. We honor her dedication to the Dharma!
Held within the classical context of silence and sustained insight meditation practice, a powerful sense of community is created that supports our capacity for deepening wisdom and compassion. This course is open to anyone who identifies as a woman – cis, trans or genderqueer.
Christina Feldman and Narayan Helen Liebenson have taught this retreat together for over three decades – the longest teaching partnership in IMS’s history. Their deep friendship is woven into the fabric of this course, and even though an era is coming to a close with Christina’s departure, the foundation of heartful connection is strong: led by Narayan, this retreat will continue to welcome women each year to IMS to meditate with each other!
Suitable for both beginning and experienced meditators, the course will feature daily talks, instructions, guided metta (boundless friendliness) practice and meetings with the teachers.
An optional daily period of mindful movement will be offered by Éowyn Ahlstrom.
